The Passions Of Sophia

Listen to my last words
For this life has now come to pass
I have seen beyond

The lies of those I served
All exposed by the one with horns
That never-ending game...

See, the sacrament shall take many forms

Listen and you shall see
that their tales will live on and on
Behind different masks

"Take this truth we serve
Let it guide every step that you take
And never look beyond

Take the sacrament
And you'll stand among
the righteous ones"

So through the pact I signed
I broke the chains and tore the
blindfold off
The cause of suffering exposed
Bereft of power it stands
unveiled forevermore

Pearl of beauty
The serpent's gift
Beyond abundance now
You have made me see

The passions of Sophia

And in their leader's words
I hear the whispers of the demiurge
Upholding slavery in pride
Fear and terror, forever herd the sheep

Pearl of beauty
The serpent's gift
Beyond all mankind's strength
You have made me see

The passions of Sophia

From the day when I came to know Spirit
I no longer have trust in
anything of this world

Thy victory is mine
By your fate-breaking blessings i rise
And you embraced me as I walked
through the valley of the shadow of life

The might that follows the blood covenant
Embrace me as I rise towards
the throne of the shadow of death

Blessed is he who has crucified the world
And not allowed the world to crucify him
