Born Of Ashes

Kim jong-un began
But uncle sam soon followed
Unleashed mighty arsenal
Endless overkill
Results in megadeaths
Now the warheads ruled supreme
But the reign was short
Limiting itself
In lack of men to push triggers

Prechorus:
All is gone
Nothing left to save
We're the last children of technology
The ones after us will be

Chorus:
Born of ashes - born of dust
Born of ashes - born of dust

From rubble we arose
The pity few that survived
And realized that we won‘t rebuild
Aimlessly we stride this scar
The paradise in ruins
And mourn the loss of all that was
But flesh will always find a way
We breed a broken future
That feels no link to olden days
An animal that speaks
And language is eroding
The debris of our humankind

Prechorus
Chorus

Engineer's a word that has ceased to exist
Books are reduced to firestarters
The brightest minds succeed in sacral farming
Worshipping the wild and the bombs

Radiation bursts from the spirits of the old
Skeletons of steel mark their homes
Some gray haired ones are plagued by visions of a dark age
But they will soon be gone
